I would like to thank everyone for coming out to the
April ride. It was the biggest turn out of riders we have
had in a while. Hopefully we will have as many bikes turn up
on a more regular basis.
It is going to be a
busy month, I believe that the rest of spring and this
coming summer will keep us all busy with not only our
monthly ride but supporting rides from other STAR chapters.
Don't forget to mark your calendars with our
first 109 Mixer for the 2012 year. Dan and Wendy McMillin
have graciously volunteered to host this event. So put on
your cowboy boots and cowboy hats and come on over for a
wetern barb que.
Our shirt sale went well. Thank
you Vinnie for all your help. Thank you Lisa it was a great
idea. We far exceeded what was required and already we are
taking orders for a second run. If you are interested let us
know. We need to have 48 items before we can send in an
order. If you like the mechanic shirt, we are looking into
ordering some in black.
Other important dates to
remember are: our May ride. We have changed our ride from
the Strawberry Festival to The Nethercutt Collection Museum
in Sylmar. We will be riding through Angeles Crest Mountains
ending up in Wrightwood. We will start with a breakfast
meeting at Home Town Buffet. I encourage everyone to pack
themselves a picnic lunch in case you get hungry before we
make it back home.
May 28th, West Coast Thunder
is also coming up so make sure to get yourselves registered
if you are planning to attend. June 9th Chapter 434 is
planning to have their fundraiser picnic and I am looking to
have representation from 109. Many have already stated that
they will be attending. This is great! As I stated in the
beginning, 2012 Spring and Summer will be a busy time. By
the way, Debi's Ride will be here before you know it so
please start looking for donations and or sponsorships,
Thanks and have a good month. Ride Safe
